25th Anniversary Celebration!

Today is a special day. Or, if you’re not reading this post on 4 January 2019, then this week this month or any time this year is equally as special! Why? Because today, our business celebrates its 25th Anniversary! That’s 25 years of dedicated service to the Isle of Man property market. 25 years helping you move house, sourcing office space for your business, assisting you purchase residential or commercial investment property and giving market leading advice and help to every customer and client we’ve had the pleasure of meeting. And I want to say a big ‘Thank you’ to all our clients, past present and future for choosing Black Grace Cowley. We really appreciate it.

So given I’m only young, it’s my mission to make it another 25 years building on the strong foundations that my co-Directors, Mark Grace, Geoff Black (and the now retired founding partners, ‘Uncle’ Patrick Cowley and Anna Kelly) created and continue to provide the same dedicated client focus that they’ve built our business on.

I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Geoff and Mark for too many years to remember, but I can honestly say how privileged and lucky I believe I am to have had the opportunity to do so. And long may it continue. Both genuine heroes of mine and, from a personal perspective, I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of people to work with in a career that I love. I can’t leave out my other partner Andrew Wallis either. Andrew joined BGC in May 2017 and has already become an integral part of the of the Company’s present and future and my sentiments above are equally echoed as far as Andy is concerned. We’ve got a superb group of dedicated staff working with us here too, all of which are integral to our continued success both on and off the field.

Most of you know us. A great many of you have (hopefully) dealt with us and would be pleased to recommend us to your friends, colleagues etc. And we thrive on being able to try and help, whatever your requirement may be. As it’s the start of a New Year, and given we’ve had a good few days off, I always like to try and reflect at little just to take stock and plan my goals for the coming months. As part of this, I asked a couple of my colleagues what working for Black Grace Cowley means to them. Here’s what they said;

‘It’s about having a job where you genuinely never wake up and don’t feel like coming to work. Where people live is fundamental to their lives and working for BGC gives me the opportunity to try and help people move where they want which I find very rewarding.’

‘There’s just something about the team of guys working here and the environment we work in. I get to experience a huge variety of work, deal with many different clients and am given the opportunity to be able to go out and do my job. It’s great!’

I love this. It’s where I want all our guys to be, how I want them all to feel when representing us out in the market. It means they give you the best possible service they can, because fundamentally, they want to and enjoy doing so. What more could you ask for!?

2019 is going to see some major celebrations planned as we move into this new year and we’re all thoroughly looking forward to it! With branches in Douglas, Peel and now in Port Erin covering the whole of the south of the Island, if we can help you move, or if you’d just like to speak to any of our guys, please do give us a ring on (01624) 645555 or say hello@blackgracecowley.com

Happy New Year to you all – I hope that 2019 will be a happy, healthy and prosperous year for you all.
