Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

As we move into Christmas and the holiday season, we’ve all naturally got more on our minds as the big day draws nearer and nearer. Have the kids written their Christmas lists? Have I managed to find that perfect gift? When is the last post off Island? Don’t worry, I don’t know a single person that’s ready either so let the last minute scramble begin!

We could be forgiven for being somewhat distracted in our daily lives. Distracted by the pace of life, the responsibilities we all have and the places we need to be. And that worries me. And then I try to understand it so that I can deal with whatever I have to do in the best way possible. If we, as a business, were distracted, what if we started to lose clients we have fought so hard to gain? Estate Agency is massively competitive, and there are lots of us on the Isle of Man all vying for your business, for the right to work for you. In the odd moment of clarity, I realise that there are some clients & customers, perhaps like you, that me and my team haven’t spoken to or seen in a while. Why is that? What have we done wrong? What could we have done better? It’s a question of time management. Something we all need to improve upon. It’ll be a new year’s resolution – to always try and improve and get better.

2018 has been a really fun, enjoyable and exciting year for us and with  small but dedicated team we’ve helped more people move house this year than ever. We’ve helped them achieve near record sale prices (97.1% of the average asking price) and done so in good time, taking as much of the stress out of moving house as possible. We’ve sold houses and  properties across the board, from more and more two and three bedroom houses to flats, apartments, development land and plots, to barn conversions and town houses. We’ve sold larger homes too.

There is little that would make me happier though. And that’s if you’d take 5 minutes out of your busy hectic day to think what Christmas is really about. There’s no right or wrong answer here, it can mean different things to different people. To me, it’s about family and friends. About getting my family together, enjoying the time off work and each other’s company, eating good food, exchanging thoughtful gifts and having time with one another. About catching up with friends too. To others, it’s perhaps more about the Christmas message, or about giving their spare time to help others who aren’t as fortunate. Whatever it means to you, please enjoy it. And then in the New Year, if you think we can help you move, please give us a call, we’d love to hear from you on (01624) 645555 or email hello@blackgracecowley.com

Wishing you all and very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
